"PILATES CIRCUIT TRAINING"!!!

Pilates Circuit Training

Fridays 8:15 am & 9:15am– Taught by Leslie Frank, DPT
$160 for 8 week series ($20/class)*

Class Format --

  • Small group Pilates equipment classes performed on a variety of apparatus including:  Reformers, Cadillacs, and Wunda Chairs.
  • Each class begins with a Mat warm-up followed by a structured workout on the Pilates equipment noted above.
  • Students will enjoy the endless variety of body sculpting exercises that can be performed on this specialized equipment.
  • Because the classes are small, the instructor is able to customize and modify the movements to suit each person's fitness level.

We suggest you have at least 3 private sessions or previous experience in Pilates equipment work prior to joining class.

“SIT & FIT” CHAIR PILATES 

Are you looking for a fun yet gentle way to exercise in a small group setting?  Then our new “Sit & Fit” class is for you!  This class will help you …Sit and Fit Class Exercises

  • Improve mobility and range of motion
  • Increase strength and flexibility
  • Develop coordination through fun movement with music
  • Prevent falls and improve balance

BENEFITS::

  • Small class size to insure individual attention
  • Affordable way to gain more Pilates training
  • Make new friends, network, socialize!

Class Format*: Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase cardiovascular and muscular strength, flexibility, coordination and balance. Bands, balls, foam rollers and rings are offered to increase challenge. Exercises to improve balance and coordination are a part of every class. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support. Classes are kept small to allow for consistent one-on-one attention. Classes are wheelchair accessible.

Cardio Tone Class*Cardio Tone Class

Wed 8:15 am - Taught by Pam Johnson
*8 week series - 1 class/week $120 ($15/class)

Cardio Tone is a dynamic workout featuring intervals of low-impact cardio moves combined with strength training using hand weights, balls, and bands to maximize toning and calorie burn. It’s fun, effective, and challenging for all levels. This class uses Pilates principles and proper alignment to improve coordination and balance.  Supportive, athletic shoes required.

  • Combine Fun and Fitness
  • Increase Cardiovascular and Muscular Endurance
  • Non-impact and Low-impact aerobics, with upper and lower body strengthening workout
  • Suitable for all Fitness Levels
  • Not recommended for those who are rehabilitating from injury
  • Pilates, Dance, Stretching and Relaxation exercises will also be incorporated into the classes
  • Props and Toys (such as physioballs) will be used extensively

Alexander Technique Group Class

Saturdays 9 to 10:30 am


The Alexander Technique helps you become aware of and prevent harmful habits that interfere with your natural functioning. It promotes ease of movement, enhanced balance and coordination, freedom of breath and voice, and an improved sensory awareness.


Who Can Benefit? Everyone including those suffering from:

  • Back and Neck Pain
  • Headaches
  • Posture and spinal problems
  • Rehabilitation needs: Sports injuries, post-operative, trauma, auto accidents


6-WEEK CLASS SESSIONS: Bodyscape offers small classes where you’ll receive individualized attention as well as group learning.  In the six week series you’ll explore basic activities like sitting, standing, walking, bending, using the arms, using the eyes and breathing, as well as learning the self-care activity known as “constructive rest.” These activities lead you to a new awareness that can be incorporated into your daily activities, your work, your sports and even your rest! It also enhances your Pilates, Gyrotonic and PT sessions.
Classes are taught by certified instructor, Bill Plake, who came to study the Alexander Technique because of a debilitating loss of functioning in his hands. After the work healed his condition, he decided to train to become a Certified Teacher. He completed his three-year training at the Alexander Training Institute of Los Angeles. Bill is also a critically acclaimed musician (saxophone and flute) and a devoted music instructor.

*Attendance Policy: Class series must be paid for in advance and expires at the end of each 8-week series.  2 missed classes allowed per series – make ups permitted in another group class of same type or credit applied to next series.  No refunds.  Single class drop-in: additional $10/class.  To register see Lia at the front desk.
