In 2010, he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the State University of New York where he was honored with the prestigious Program Research Award for “Examining the Change in Physical Activity and Fitness in African American Adolescents.” Through his commitment toward volunteerism, Cameron bicycled over 500 miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles in the first California Aids Ride, and also participated in walks for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Cameron is an advocate of physical therapy health and believes that the foundation of physical wellness is rooted in staying active, participating in preventative care, acquiring awareness through movement, and maintaining optimal posture throughout one’s life.
